Last updated: 27 October 2026
This service is run by Ethan Jack Leonard, sole trader, trading as Ethan Leonard (ABN 39 309 510 137). Contact: [email protected] or [email protected]. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
When you request a quote: business name, your name and role, email, phone (optional), suburb, approximate power bill, whether you own or lease the building, site notes and timeline. We also record when and how you gave consent, and the version and exact wording of the consent you agreed to.
When you send the form, our website also automatically records the time it was received, the type of browser and device you used (the "user agent"), and a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet (IP) address. We don't store your IP address itself. We use these to keep a reliable record of your consent and to detect and block spam and misuse of the form. We collect business contact details published on business websites to send relevant business emails.
To arrange a commercial solar quote for your business. If you don't give the required details, we can't make an introduction.
Only with your consent, we pass your details to one solar installer that services your area. We'll email you the installer's name when we do. The installer pays us a fee for each introduction; the service is free for you. We never sell your details to anyone else or share them except where the law requires.
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing [email protected]. If we have already passed on your details, we'll stop any further sharing and ask the installer to delete them. We then delete your details, keeping only a minimal do-not-contact entry on our suppression list (see below). The installer handles your details under its own privacy practices, and our agreement requires it to use them only for your quote and to delete them on request.
We count visits to this website using a privacy-focused analytics service. It doesn't use cookies or build a profile of you. It records things like the page visited, the referring site, your browser and device type, and your country, and we see only totals. The provider may process this data overseas, including in the United States.
We use service providers to store and send your details, and some of them may handle your information overseas, including in the United States and Japan.
We protect your details with passwords and two-factor sign-in on our accounts, encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and access limited to Ethan Leonard. Secret keys for the form are kept out of the website code.
Lead details, including the copy in our database and email, are deleted 12 months after our last contact. Records needed for tax or invoicing are kept for as long as the law requires. A record of your consent (the consent wording, time and the automatic details above) is kept for 2 years after our last contact with you; after that it is deleted. If you withdraw consent or ask us to delete your details, we delete your details but keep a minimal do-not-contact entry (your email address, or a one-way code of it, and the date) on our suppression list, and the record of your earlier consent, so we never contact you again.
We sometimes email businesses about this service. To do that, we collect contact details the business has published itself, such as an email address on its website, along with the business name, the page where we found the details and the date.
We use these details only to email that business about commercial solar introductions. Our email service providers may handle these details overseas, including in the European Union and the United States.
We delete outreach contact details 12 months after our last contact. If you ask us not to contact you, we keep a minimal do-not-contact entry (your email address, or a one-way code of it, and the date) so we never email you again.
Our email provider may record whether an email address is valid or bounces, and may use that to protect email delivery for its other customers.
